Amy & Daley #planlocal

Aloha! It was a family affair when it came to planning with Amy & Daley. Each part of their wedding day carefully discussed, thought out and a shared excitement amongst all. I quickly realized how special this bride & groom are to each of their respective parents, and that I wasn’t ensuring the best day for JUST two people, it was a shared experience for the whole family - No pressure! Covid restrictions led this pair venue hopping just a couple of months before the big day, however landing at a spot that I strongly believe was meant to be all along - Braestone Farms.

The wedding day came and it seemed we had bypassed the threat of rain - Woo hoo!… Well that was until our ceremony started and hello dark clouds. We pushed through and tried to keep with the outdoor nuptials but the weather gods just weren’t having it and the drizzle turned into a downpour. This is when kickass vendors come to the rescue; drying chairs, moving floral arches, directing guests, smiling all the while - One of my favourite shots in this wedding gallery is Amy’s entrance into the indoor ceremony location… Unrehearsed bridal party positions, guests surrounding the couple from every angle, became the most intimate and heartfelt setting for these two to exchange vows (after 3 solid attempts that day).

This day was about reuniting family after nearly two years, embracing culture, bold colours. Showering a very deserving bride in a multitude of thoughtful surprises. Including; a MOH rapping her speech to the bride’s celebrity crush Will Smith and the Fresh Prince of Belair.. a father’s journey with his daughter in a slideshow presentation that would play in sequence of their first dance. Last but not least, our groom wrapping up the evening with a collaborative song dedicated to his bride.

Personalizing your wedding to reflect YOU, highly recommended!
