Introducing the Brindle's!

Another sweet couple impacted by the C word! However selfishly, I loved it. I couldn’t have asked for a better pair to be on the books for 3+ years. Not only did I really get a chance to know them, I got to grow with them personally and professionally, their life excitement is equally shared by me, and vice versa.

Now, understandably when Kirstyn first came to me, her outdoor wedding vision was full of rustic, feminine, and floral heavy touches. This was our main focal point - the overall aesthetic… because we all knew it wouldn’t be the menu (full disclosure these two are quite the picky eaters and quite happy with the basics), but would their guests be okay with this??. Well fast forward 3 years, possibly 5 date changes, and a baby later, naturally these two and their tastes evolved (not their actual taste buds though, still quite content with pizza and hamburgers). After many attempts at rescheduling the date, and unavoidable restrictions causing further changes, it became harder and harder to really understand what the day would look like. Heck, we couldn’t even picture the time of year as the preferred dates were quickly snatched for by other couple’s in the same situation. Naturally you grow a little frustrated by this and take a back seat to the constant Pinterest scrolling and wedding discussions. Until finally it seemed with just a few months to plan, we could commit to a Thursday in June and by that point the date no longer mattered - it was about much more than that. Embracing the ability to finally celebrate!! With direction centered around the couples wants and less about the stress of pleasing everyone else. We kept it simple, right down to the menu and sunset ice cream truck (a favourite date night tradition for these two).

Moral of the story… Patience is a beautiful thing and so is love!
